The 2021 Global Peace Index rated New Zealand second. The crime rate is exceptionally low, and there is a high level of religious tolerance. It’s a little island nation at the bottom of the planet. This implies that New Zealanders must travel a significant distance to visit any nation other than Australia or the Pacific Islands. This makes abroad vacations incredibly expensive, and many ex-pats find themselves unable to visit family back home as frequently as they would want. The distance between New Zealand and the rest of the globe raises the cost of imported products.

Cost of Living

Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city, and it is home to half of the country’s population. It is also the only area where jobs are accessible, and it is where almost all New Zealand immigrants go. New Zealand society is socially fluid. There is little or no talk of ‘class’ and old-fashioned ideas of ‘dressing to impress’ is largely frowned upon. The wage gap has widened significantly since the 1980s, but the Kiwi attitude that wealth has nothing to do with a person’s value is still alive.
